James Family Bond
Hello James Family,
I am Dana James King, daughter of Dock Dante James, Jr. and JoAnne James, sister of Dante Joel James. I’ve been invited to write the December JFR blog and I accept the honor.
December is often the time when families gather together to celebrate the birth of Christ, Kwanzaa and the ringing in of the New Year. It is a precious time to look back at the ups and downs of the year and ahead into the future’s great unknown.
Because of the deeply rooted James Family bond, it is my hope that we all fearlessly accept the future’s offerings because we know where we come from, who we are and with whom we share love. Support like that can be tapped into for any reason and at any time. Such peace of mind is also the greatest gift that can be given to younger generations and those still to come.
May I offer this in gratitude: that the James Family doesn’t require any special day to celebrate the gift of family. We have shown through our steadfast desire to remain connected that such a gift can be given and received every single day.
Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa and deep wishes for a joyful James New Year! See you in Houston 2019!!
